I have worked in the creative arts for most of my adult life, beginning in the publishing industry where I specialized in layout, graphic design, technical writing, and editing.
In 2022 I transitioned into the performing arts, first working in fund development at The Aeolian Hall and soon after moving into theatrical production as a Props Builder and Buyer for Port Stanley Festival Theatre.
I hold a Master’s degree in English Literature from Western University and am based in London, Ontario.
Working within tight production schedules and budgets, I am known for my attention to detail, problem-solving approach, and reliable turnaround. I collaborate closely with directors, designers, and technical teams to translate creative concepts into functional, story-driven props.
My background in design, combined with years of hands-on prop fabrication and replica building, gives me a practical understanding of both visual authenticity and construction techniques.

I build and source props intended for frequent handling and repeated use, prioritizing durability, safety, and visual credibility on stage. My work includes furniture, set dressing, hand props, and specialty items such as stage food and period objects.
As a props buyer, I am part researcher and part treasure hunter—drawing on knowledge of design history and material culture to locate or adapt the right object for each production and ensure that every piece supports the world of the story.
